Stixx Mathews is a New York City–based beauty writer, expert and tastemaker with over a decade of industry experience. As one of the few openly queer Black male beauty editors in mainstream media, his authoritative voice has shaped coverage across major publications including Popsugar, Essence, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Hypebae, where he served as Senior Beauty Editor. Before transitioning to editorial, he honed his expertise on the brand side at L’Oréal and Glossier, and has since created content, consulted, and shaped partnership and go-to-market strategies for a range of beauty brands.
