Head of Research & Development - Beauty and Wellbeing North America Unilever

Tiffany Yizar is the head of research & development (R&D) for Beauty & Wellbeing North America at Unilever and leads the Polycultural Center of Excellence that innovates for textured hair and melanin-rich skin consumers under iconic brands like SheaMoisture and Vaseline, among others. She has 18+ years of experience in fast moving consumer goods, working in R&D and factory engineering roles, spending the last 8 years in Beauty & Wellbeing R&D for Unilever.

In addition to business delivery, Tiffany is focused on fostering an inclusive and diverse science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) pipeline within the industry – fit to design beauty solutions that authentically deliver & delight increasingly targeted consumer cohorts.

Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Brown University and a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the UCLA Anderson School of Business.

Tiffany and her husband are proud spoilers of their dog, avid travelers and foodies, she is also a persistent gardener and aspires to achieve a zero waste-to-landfill household. Her new personal challenge is to master the sport of curling.
