Today at CEW, we celebrate the British beauty industry who gathered for the UK CEW Achiever Awards, at the Rosewood Hotel in London. Among those celebrated for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the beauty industry were Sue Nabi, CEO of Coty Inc, who won the Icon Award; Amanda Morgan, Managing Director of Diptyque UK, who received an Achiever Award; and The Estée Lauder Companies, which scooped up the award for Digital Innovation.

In breaking news, Swarovski has inked a long-term beauty licensing agreement with Coty Inc., to create fragrances. “This partnership allows us to bring Swarovski’s unique positioning of Pop Luxury — a luxury that is creative, fun, colorful and joyfully extravagant — to the world of beauty and fragrances whilst leveraging Coty’s extensive industry expertise,” said Michele Molon, Swarovski Chief Commercial Officer. In other fragrance news, Givaudan has created a humanitarian fund to give financial support at times of major crises, where the company has a presence. Its first donation will support the Spanish Red Cross’ response and recovery efforts after the devastating floods in Valencia.

The first La Maison Orveda spa and boutique has opened in Paris, offering “a blend of advanced skin science, biotechnology, and art,” said the brand on Instagram. Meanwhile, in London, Clinique is building on the viral success of Black Honey by holding a two-day Hot Honey pop-up in Covent Garden, London, opening tomorrow. “Black Honey has become a cultural phenomenon that has captivated beauty lovers across generations,” said Karen Ehrich, Vice President & General Manager at Clinique UK & ROI. “The pop-up is our way of celebrating the season’s most trending shades and connecting with our consumers through the power of community and beauty.”
