Speaking of innovations in tech, Boss made marketing history after broadcasting a three story-high hologram of Gisele Bündchen at Tower Bridge, London, on Tuesday night. Created to promote the launch of Boss’ spring/summer fashion collection, the model’s hologram was joined by one of fellow brand ambassador, actor Lee Minho.
In breaking news, Mugler is marking its 50th year with the launch of Alien Hypersense, after the brand’s rejuvenation of Angel in 2023, and the opening of a new concept store in China. Model Anok Yai is the face of the new scent, formulated by Dominique Ropion of IFF (the nose behind Alien). “There is a target in China that really loves the DNA and fierceness of the brand,” said Danièle Lahana-Aidenbaum, Global President of Mugler Fashion. “We saw that a good way to open fragrances [there] was to use the power of fashion.” In other scent news, Manzanita Capital has bought a majority stake in D.S. & Durga, the Brooklyn-based brand of perfumes, candles, and body care products. The investment firm already counts Diptyque, Space NK, Malin+Goetz and Susanne Kaufmann among the beauty brands in its portfolio.
Canyon Ranch will host its first Beauty and Wellness Festival, Enchant at the Ranch, in March, taking place at the Arizona desert resort.
