Meanwhile, Annie Young-Scrivner has resigned from her role as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at the Wella Company. Current Board Chair Glenn K. Murphy has been tapped to oversee the company as Executive Chair.

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has reported Q2 fiscal year 2025 net sales of $21.9 billion, representing a 2% increase over the previous year. “The P&G team delivered an acceleration in organic sales growth, core EPS growth, and strong cash return to shareowners in the second quarter,” said Jon Moeller, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our first-half results keep us on track to deliver within our guidance ranges on all key financial metrics for the fiscal year.” Meanwhile, Bloomberg has confirmed reports that the house of Chanel will be cutting 70 jobs in the U.S.

In international updates, Unilever’s India unit has acquired the premium, Indian-born beauty brand Minimalist, for an undisclosed sum, and the luxury French skin care company Gatineau has made its U.S. debut on QVC this week. Meanwhile, teen beauty brand Indu has launched a sponsorship program designed to encourage and empower teen participation in sports, especially among young girls.
