That was the inspiration.”
L’Oréal Groupe has launched the L’Oréal Act for Dermatology, a €20 million, five-year program led by the group’s Dermatological Beauty Division. Its aim is to “democratize access to skin health in support of the 2.1 billion people in the world living with skin disease,” in partnership with the WHO Foundation, which supports the World Health Organization’s efforts in this area. “L’Oréal Act for Dermatology represents our unwavering commitment to helping improve the lives of billions of people suffering from the physical, mental and emotional burden of skin diseases,” commented Myriam Cohen-Welgryn, President, L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty.
In international news, Nigeria has joined a global campaign promoting female leadership in governance and climate action. The agreement was inked this week during the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York. Meanwhile, at the U.K. Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference 2025, broadcasters will spotlight women in business in the UK. During the conference, Angie Greaves and Brenda Emmanus OBE will focus on women in business during the Woman-to-Woman panel discussion, on June 25.
In finance news, Townhouse is acquiring assets of nail care brand Glosslab as part of the company’s bankruptcy process, while German consumer goods company Henkel has reported a slow start to the year, after “modest growth” in 2024.
