From executive moves and market shakeups to heartfelt industry tributes and brand reinventions, the beauty landscape is evolving on every front.

Solésence, Inc. has appointed Yoolie Park as Vice President of Brand Partnerships. Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Park will lead strategic relationships with emerging and established brands, helping deliver integrated turnkey solutions that accelerate speed to market and free up capital for marketing initiatives. She joins from Paklab, where she served as Executive Vice President, and previously held leadership roles at APG, IPKG and Nestfiller. Solésence, known for its scientifically driven mineral based sun protection and skin health technologies, views Park’s expertise in packaging and brand development as key to expanding innovation and supporting long term partner growth. Piggy backing on Solesence’s executive news, Jérôme Leloup has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. The news comes just a few days after Demetra Pinsent left the Charlotte Tilbury brand following 14 years as its Chief Executive Officer. The brand in a statement said Pinsent had decided to leave to pursue new opportunities. Tilbury, meanwhile, maintains her role as President, Chairman, and Chief Creative Officer at her brand. (WWD)

Brand leadership investments come at a pivotal moment for prestige beauty. As thew sector faces tighter visibility and reduced paid support, performance on Sephora in 2025 reveals a market driven by focus, not expansion. According to Navigo Marketing, growth concentrated among brands with clearly defined hero SKUs and strong functional positioning rather than broad assortments. Fragrance and body care led momentum, with brands like Kayali and Sol de Janeiro gaining traction, while skin care and hair care rewarded ingredient clarity and treatment driven innovation from players such as Rhode and Kérastase. Across categories, top performers including Lip Butter Balm proved that disciplined hero products, repeat purchase appeal and digital clarity now define success in a mature prestige channel. (GCI)

And last week the industry took a pause as they learned of the passing of Kendal Ascher, a dedicated executive who spent 25 years shaping the success of The Estée Lauder Cos. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company’s North America luxury portfolio, Ascher oversaw powerhouse brands including La Mer, Tom Ford Beauty, and Jo Malone London. Known for his passion, warmth and mentorship, he led with both strategic vision and heartfelt conviction, elevating La Mer to the top of luxury skin care. Beyond his business achievements, Ascher’s generosity, optimism, and unwavering support for his teams left an enduring mark on colleagues, partners, and the broader fragrance and beauty community. Against this backdrop of change and remembrance, brands are simultaneously looking ahead. After more than 15 years since launching, First Aid Beauty is entering a new chapter, fine-tuning its visual identity while doubling down on its mission to provide “real support for real skin.” CEO Catherine D’Aragon, who joined the brand in November 2024, sat down with CEW to share how First Aid Beauty is modernizing, why packaging matters more than ever, and what truly builds longevity in today’s skin care market.
