Today at CEW, Andrew Stanleick unpacks how Kenvue is reinventing beauty for the TikTok generation. As the company’s President, Skin Health & Beauty for North America and Europe, Middle East & Africa, Stanleick discusses the critical role of influencer marketing, and how Kenvue is speaking to Gen Z.

Also at CEW, HPPY founder Hannah Penn explains how being born into her family’s food products business, Good Foods, inspired the nutrient-sparing processing technology behind her high-potency skin care range. “Natural products have gotten a bad rap and it’s so frustrating as someone who is so passionate about manufacturing,” Penn told CEW reporter Paige Herman-Axel. “Natural products aren’t working because we’re not working with nature.”

In consumer trends news, CEW spotlights the Spring 2025 Key Trends and Insights report by AI firm, Perfect Corp, harnessing big data from its YouCam suite of apps. The report features real-time behavioral insights and results from a consumer survey exploring how shoppers interact with AI-powered beauty and fashion tools.

Yesterday, CEW’s glittering 2025 Visionary Awards networking and acknowledgement event took place at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, California — watch this space for a special, behind-the-scenes recap. And in other awards news, Jones Road founder, Bobbi Brown, was honored at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Women’s Division’s annual Spirit of Achievement luncheon, receiving a Trailblazer Award. In her speech, Brown said she hoped “to tell all the other creative kids that don’t get good grades in math and science, there is hope….I’m very honored,” reported WWD.

Speaking of tech, female founders are redefining digital payments, according to an article by Ruchi Rathor, Founder of Payomatix Technologies, on finextra.com. “A fresh wave of fintech innovation is rising — one led by bold, strategic women who are reshaping the future of digital payments with vision, leadership, and deep business acumen. These are not just founders — they’re architects of the next generation of financial technology,” writes Rathor.

In executive news, L’Oréal Paris has appointed Laetitia Toupet-Delon as Global Brand President. In her new role, Toupet-Delon, currently global brands General Manager of L’Oréal’s dermatological beauty division, will lead the brand in the company’s portfolio. And in market headlines, Shiseido has reported a drop in Q1 2025 sales. “A “sharp” 65% sales decline from skin care brand Drunk Elephant also dragged down sales in America and led to a 19% slump in income for Shiseido’s U.S. market,” reported Cosmetics Business. Meanwhile, German manufacturer Henkel — whose portfolio includes Schwarzkopf — has reported a 3.5% decline in Q1 2025 sales for its consumer brands division.

After its viral success on TikTok, thanks to the hashtag #sleepytie, the Sleepy Tie scrunchie brand has entered Ulta Beauty.
