How is your executive presence, and what is it saying about you in the workplace? Today at CEW, we share expert strategies for commanding respect as a professional, and projecting confidence, clarity, and credibility. “It’s what makes leaders stand out, earn trust, and inspire teams,” writes CEW reporter Georgia Homsany. “While some people naturally exude executive presence, it’s a skill that can be developed with a combination of awareness and repetition.”
In other CEW news, Happi has a report on the CEW 2025 Visionary Awards live event and cocktail party last week, at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, California. In the words of Carlotta Jacobson, CEW president, the awards, which were presented to 11 female founders, “shine a light on the trailblazers shaping the future of beauty, leaders who are redefining success through innovation, passion, and purpose.”
Speaking of trailblazers, in executive news, Annie Lawless Jacobs has turned as CEO of her clean makeup brand, Lawless Beauty. According to Beauty Independent, Lawless plans to “reinforce its strengths as the prestige makeup category battles slumping sales, consumer caution and tariffs.” Meanwhile, Revolution Beauty Group plc has started a formal sale process, and is looking at various funding options in order to bolster its financial position.
In international business news, UK company Lifted Ventures has partnered with British Business Bank with the aim of “transforming the investment landscape for women outside of London,” reports Philanthropy News Digest. The partnership seeks to support women-led startups and the female investors backing them. And in other news from across the pond, Boots and L’Oréal Groupe have announced that they are co-launching a new dermatology training scheme, with the support of The British Association of Dermatologists. The idea is to equip Boots pharmacists to provide dermatology assessments and advice for common skin conditions.
