L’Occitane Enters The Skin Longevity Market; TikTok Shop Expects Beauty Sales To Surge This Holiday Season; AI-Generated Hunter And Rhode Concept Raises Brand Collaboration Questions; Dermalogica CEO To Step Down After A Decade In Leadership; Shelpful Launches PROVE IT Stickers To Help Users Build Better Habits

The beauty industry continues to evolve as brands explore new approaches to skincare, digital commerce, artificial intelligence, leadership and consumer wellness. These developments reflect changing consumer expectations and the growing role of innovation across the industry.

L’Occitane is expanding into the growing skin longevity category with a new skincare approach built on 25 years of research into Immortelle, a flower known for its resilience and skincare benefits. The brand’s Skin Longevity By Nature ritual features four steps designed to nourish skin, improve firmness and address visible signs of ageing. The routine includes existing Immortelle products alongside the new Divine Targeted Wrinkle Care treatment, which targets five areas, including forehead lines, crow’s feet and smile lines. Formulated with Immortelle-derived ingredients, hyaluronic acid and peptides, the treatment aims to smooth skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles over time. The collection will initially launch in Malaysia. (Cosmetics Business)

TikTok Shop is preparing for a strong holiday season, with beauty sales expected to exceed last year’s results as more brands invest in livestream shopping. Beauty and personal care sales on the platform reached nearly $993 million in the third quarter of 2026, according to Charm.io, despite growth slowing compared with earlier in the year. Livestreams, holiday gift sets, discovery kits and Korean beauty products are expected to drive purchases. Brands are increasingly using live sessions to demonstrate products, answer customer questions and introduce new launches. K-beauty continues to gain traction thanks to its rapid product innovation and creator partnerships, making TikTok Shop an increasingly important channel for beauty discovery and sales. An AI-generated design featuring Hunter rain boots with a built-in Rhode lip gloss holder is drawing attention to the challenges of unofficial brand collaborations. The concept combines Hunter’s signature footwear with the minimalist aesthetic of Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand, Rhode, but neither company has confirmed an official partnership. While Rhode already sells a lip case designed to hold its products, there is no evidence connecting the brand to the boot design. The concept highlights how realistic AI-generated imagery can blur the line between creative ideas and actual product launches, creating potential concerns around intellectual property, brand reputation and consumer confusion as artificial intelligence becomes more common in fashion and beauty marketing. Aurelian Lis will leave his role as global CEO of Dermalogica at the end of December 2026, following 10 years leading the professional skincare brand owned by Unilever. Tim Bunch, the company’s North American general manager, will take over as interim business lead while Unilever searches for a permanent successor. During Lis’s tenure, Dermalogica strengthened its position in the professional skincare market and continued expanding its retail presence. Recent initiatives include a partnership with John Lewis to introduce Pro Skin Clinic locations combining skincare treatments with product sales. Before joining Dermalogica in 2015, Lis held a leadership position at Benefit Cosmetics, where he served as general manager for the Americas. (The Industry Beauty)

Shelpful has introduced PROVE IT, a new accountability tool designed to help people follow through on everyday tasks they often put off. The system combines a free iPhone app with NFC-enabled stickers that users place near activities such as taking medication, walking the dog, or getting out of bed. When a scheduled alert goes off, users must physically reach the sticker and tap it with their phone to silence the notification. The app offers different alert intensity levels and limited options to dismiss reminders when necessary. Created by the team behind Shelpful, PROVE IT aims to make building routines easier by turning digital reminders into actions. (PR Newswire)
