Blushington Blazes A Trail In Wig Styling And Care, Boots Reports Q4 Sales Growth, Coty Announces Preliminary Q1 Results, Arbonne International Appoints Lori Burgher As Chief Marketing & Growth Officer, Arcade Beauty Concludes Recapitalization

Manhattan beauty lounge Blushington, known for its makeup, brow, and blowout services, is expanding into wig styling and care. Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness month, and on the cusp of opening its first franchise outpost in Boca Raton, Florida, its new A Way With Wigs service looks to blaze a trail in the salon world by offering a fresh, luxurious, style experience. “The current choices for [those] consumers are not particularly special or uplifting,” Natasha Cornstein, Blushington’s CEO, tells Annie Tomlin at CEW. Cornstein insisted on six months of training before Blushington stylists worked on customers’ wigs. “A wig is a large investment for a customer, and we need to take tremendous care and special attention.”

In retail updates, Boots has reported ‘excellent’ Q4 sales growth. Sales were up by 6.2% in Q4 ,with growth reported across all categories. At the same time, its owner, Walgreens Boots Alliance, has announced that it will close 1,200 U.S. Walgreens stores over the next three years, as a result of this year’s widening losses. Meanwhile, Coty has announced its preliminary Q1 results. The company saw growth of approximately 4% to 5% like for like, a moderate drop from its previous Q1 estimated growth of 6%. Coty has reiterated its full-year profit target.

In executive news, Arbonne International has appointed Lori Burgher as Chief Marketing & Growth Officer. Burgher already leads the brand’s marketing, with a focus on ethical wellness and beauty, and sustainability. “Lori’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Arbonne as we expand in the wellness industry,” commented Jen Orlando, Arbonne CEO. “Her customer-focused, data-driven approach will help Arbonne maintain its leadership while adapting to the evolving needs of our customers and markets.”

Celebrating its 10th anniversary with an event in Paris, global beauty company Arcade Beauty, which provides retail and sampling solutions, has concluded a recapitalization with 100% support from its lenders and shareholders. “We have been able to adapt to changes in the beauty market, and we continue to do so,” said CEO Carl Allain.
