Today at CEW, we report on the announcement that Stéphane de La Faverie will take over the helm as CEO at Estée Lauder, as Jane Lauder steps down. “On Tuesday morning, news broke that Jane Lauder is stepping down from the family business by year-end,” writes CEW reporter Faye Brookman. “Hours later the Wall Street Journal reported that Stéphane de La Faverie had been tapped to become The Estée Lauder Cos.’s next CEO.” La Faverie joined Estée Lauder in 2011, after spending more than nine years at L’Oréal. Lauder will remain on the board at Estée Lauder.

In her latest The Mother Of Wisdom column for CEW, Lauren Brody shares five hours of advice in five minutes. “The moms and dads I’ve worked with come from a diversity of backgrounds, family structures, and industries,” writes Brody, a gender equality expert and coach. “But no matter the circumstances, every single one of them has heard these five pieces of advice from me.” Also at CEW, we report on the recent CreatorIQ Connect Summit, where over 300 industry experts met to unpack how brands can tap into fan communities – the ultimate buyers of products. “Brands report that creator content performs three times better than traditional paid social media advertising,” explains CEW reporter Polly Blitzer.

In fragrance news, we report on the unveiling of dsm-firmenich’s new Haloscent® Pure technology. “Imagine spritzing your favorite fragrance onto your pulse points in the morning and still smelling it on your skin as you settle into bed at night,” writes Didi Gluck for CEW. “No midday touch ups needed — just a fragrance that blends into your unique skin chemistry and follows you from dawn through dusk.” Meanwhile, Beyoncé is launching her second fine fragrance, Cé Lumiére.
