In breaking executive news, Philip Kingsley has heralded a “new era” for the hair and scalp care brand, with the appointment of Joseph Scott Grigsby as CEO. Grigsby brings years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry to the role, including helping to found The Estée Lauder Companies’ EMEA corporate innovation team. Meanwhile, Sol de Janeiro has tapped Jordan Saxemard as its new Global Chief Marketing & Digital Officer, effective immediately. Saxemard has over 20 years of experience in brand leadership, and was most recently President for the Americas and EMEA at Dyson. He will report directly to Heela Yang, co-founder and CEO of Sol de Janeiro.

E.l.f. Beauty has published its 2025 Impact Report — the fourth to date. “Sharing our Impact Report is one of my proudest moments each year as we see the collective highlights of living our vision to be a different kind of company by building brands that disrupt norms, shape culture, and connect communities through positivity, inclusivity, and accessibility,” commented Tarang Amin, Chairman and CEO, e.l.f. Beauty.

In retail news, hair care brand Amika is entering all Ulta Beauty doors on December 1. “Ulta came with an incredible opportunity as they were looking to invest in their special sauce, which is this blend of bringing a different retail experience with a salon point of view,” Chelsea Riggs, the brand’s CEO, told WWD.  And in other brick and mortar headlines, the Brazilian heritage beauty house Granado is expanding its US retail presence by entering Nordstrom’s  57th Street flagship store in New York City, as well as going online at Nordstrom.com. The  brand first launched as a Brazilian pharmacy in 1870, and has since evolved into an international fragrance and personal care brand.

Amika Arrives At Ulta Beauty. “It’s right after Black Friday, it’s going to get custom merchandising at the front of stores,” Shianna Davey, vice president of merchandising at Ulta Beauty, told WWD. “It’ll be in every single store, it’ll be customized with fun activations, window banners, front-of-store tables.” (WWD)

Granado Goes Into Nordstrom. “The Nordstrom launch will feature a curated selection of Granado’s best-selling perfumes and gift sets,” reports Happi. “Developed in collaboration with renowned perfumers like Quentin Bisch, the fragrances offer a sophisticated sensory experience, blending Brazil’s diverse flora with modern, niche appeal.” (HAPPI)
