Multi-Use Makeup Gains Momentum, Margot Robbie Announced New Face Of Chanel No.5, L’Oréal Paris Taps Cara Delevingne As New Global Ambassador, Sephora North America Appoints Delphine Herve CFO, Fekkai Styling Crème Makes Comeback, Is Glossier Play Coming Back?

Today’s hottest makeup is good at multi-tasking. New data from CivicScience reveals that multi-use cosmetics are gaining momentum, and the trend is growing. “Approximately 46% of U.S. adults who wear makeup have experimented with using a single product in more than one way, with 25% having done this ‘multiple times’,” according to CivicScience. “An additional 11% haven’t tried this but are interested in it.” CivicScience also reports that formulas that can be used for multiple purposes – cheeks and lips, for example – have the edge when consumers are deciding which products to buy.

Chanel has announced that Margot Robbie is the new face of Chanel No.5. The actress has been an ambassador for the brand since 2018, and appears in red Chanel tweed in her first ad campaign for the iconic fragrance. Meanwhile, L’Oréal Paris has tapped Cara Delevingne as a new Global Ambassador. She will serve as a Women of Worth spokesperson for the brand.

In breaking executive news, Sephora has announced that Christophe Le Boterff, EVP and CFO of Sephora North America, is set to retire in April. He will be succeeded the role by Delphine Herve, who has been SVP of Finance, Financial Planning, and Analysis for the region for the last two years. Herve has worked with LVMH since 2011, and joined Sephora North America in 2014, “strengthening the finance team’s process and leading with excellence,” said the company.

To celebrate its 35th Anniversary, Fekkai is bringing back its Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème. “Ever since I’ve joined the brand, whenever I’m at a cocktail party, the first thing they say is to bring back the gloss,” said Tennille Kopiasz, the brand’s CEO. “We see reviews all the time asking for it, and the old product is being sold on eBay now for over $100 per tube. We knew we had to bring it back to talk to our customer.” The product is available at the Fekkai website, as of today. At the same time, speculation is rife that Glossier is bringing back Glossier Play, the sub-brand it discontinued in 2020, sparked by recent teasers by Glossier on TikTok and Instagram. “We were asked very nicely not to spoil the surprise, so you’ll have to wait and see,” the brand has responded.
