HERETIC PARFUM Names Blair Lawson Chief Executive Officer; Katia Beauchamp Launches Buff Beauty; Estée Lauder Lawsuit Moves Forward Against Walmart; dpHUE Expands Its At-Home Hair Color Line At Target; Supergoop Adds New Commercial Leader as Brand Expands

The beauty industry is constantly changing, with brands introducing new products, expanding into major retailers, and bringing in fresh leadership. These latest developments show how companies are adapting to new consumer interests and finding new ways to grow in today’s competitive market.

HERETIC PARFUM has appointed Blair Lawson as its new Chief Executive Officer as the independent fragrance brand prepares for its next stage of growth. Lawson brings more than 20 years of experience in the luxury and beauty industries, having held leadership roles at companies including Louis Vuitton, goop, Beautycounter, and Lunya. In her new position, she will focus on expanding the brand’s products, distribution, and overall presence while working closely with founder Douglas Little. Little will continue to oversee HERETIC’s creative direction, product development, and storytelling. The company, founded in 2015, is known for its distinctive approach to fragrance and its focus on unconventional scents and sensory experiences. (The Daily Tribune News)

Katia Beauchamp, the co-founder of Birchbox, is taking a new approach to the beauty industry with her latest brand, Buff Beauty. The company focuses on nail care products and tools that help people keep their natural nails looking polished without needing traditional manicures, polish, or gel. Buff Beauty launched online in July and recently became available at Target Beauty Studio in more than 600 stores. Beauchamp is also taking lessons from her previous businesses, especially the importance of understanding customers and creating products that feel worth their price. Instead of following traditional beauty trends, she hopes Buff Beauty will give consumers a simpler and more flexible way to care for their nails. (Beauty Independent)

Estée Lauder Companies is continuing its legal battle with Walmart over allegedly fake beauty and fragrance products sold by third-party sellers on Walmart’s website. A federal judge has allowed Estée Lauder to investigate more products instead of limiting the case to the 17 items it originally identified as counterfeit. The lawsuit includes popular brands such as Tom Ford, Clinique, La Mer, Le Labo, and Aveda. Estée Lauder claims Walmart’s online marketplace could make shoppers think these products are being sold directly by the retailer. Walmart has denied wrongdoing and says it has strict rules against counterfeit products. The case could have wider effects on how online marketplaces handle fake beauty products. dpHUE is bringing its premium at-home hair color products to Target Beauty Studio, giving shoppers easier access to salon-inspired hair care. The brand, founded by Donna Pohlad, is launching three popular product lines: Camo+, Gloss+, and Glossy Glaze. These products are designed to help customers cover gray hair, refresh their color, and add shine without making a major commitment. Instead of offering its entire collection, dpHUE chose a smaller selection to introduce new customers to the brand. The move is part of dpHUE’s plan to reach more beauty shoppers and grow awareness of at-home color maintenance. The products are now available at more than 600 Target stores and online. Supergoop has named Jamie Parker as its first Chief Commercial Officer, creating a new position to help guide the company’s business growth. Parker joins the sunscreen and skincare brand after working at Coty, where he held leadership roles in e-commerce and consumer beauty. His previous experience also includes positions at Marks & Spencer and Torque Brands. The new appointment comes as Supergoop works toward becoming a broader skin health company and continues adding executives to its leadership team. Recent hires include a Chief Human Resources Officer and a Chief Marketing Officer. Parker’s role will focus on strengthening Supergoop’s commercial strategy as the brand expands its products and international presence. (The Industry Beauty)
