The beauty industry is constantly evolving, with brands embracing new ideas, technology, and changing consumer interests.
Donatella Versace and REVOLVE have announced a new partnership to create an independent fashion and beauty business aimed at a younger generation. Donatella will lead the creative direction, bringing her experience in fashion, entertainment, and popular culture to the venture. REVOLVE will support the business with its digital platform, technology, global reach, and connection to millions of consumers. The project will launch first in beauty before expanding further into fashion and other areas. The new venture plans to combine products, content, creators, and online experiences to create a modern way for people to discover and engage with fashion and beauty. (PR Newswire)
Unilever Ventures has led a Series A investment in Arey, a beauty brand focused on supporting healthier hair and reducing the appearance of gray. Founded by Allison Conrad and hairstylist Jay Small, Arey plans to use the new funding to expand research, clinical studies, hiring, marketing, and retail distribution. The company offers supplements and haircare products designed to support hair pigmentation and overall hair health. Arey has also completed a six-month clinical study involving 173 participants, testing its supplement and serum together, with results showing a difference in gray-hair growth between the active and placebo groups. The investment reflects growing interest in proactive haircare, especially as consumers look for science-backed products focused on long-term hair health. (Beauty Independent)

Target is expanding its K-beauty selection as Korean skincare, makeup, and haircare continue gaining popularity among U.S. consumers. The retailer recently launched Target Beauty Studio, featuring more than 1,600 products from 90 brands, including several Korean beauty names such as Amuse, Kaja, Rom&nd, Purito Seoul, and Dr. Melaxin. Many of these brands are new to Target and are using the retailer to reach a wider audience beyond specialty beauty stores like Sephora and Ulta. Beauty companies say Target offers an opportunity to introduce K-beauty to everyday shoppers while making products easier to access. The move also shows how Korean beauty is becoming a larger part of mainstream U.S. beauty retail, rather than remaining a niche trend. (Modern Retail)
Fenty Skin, Glow Recipe, and Huda Beauty are drawing attention with new hydrogel eye patches that use an unusual slicing-style package inspired by Korean beauty innovations. Instead of pulling out multiple patches at once, the grinder-like container releases them individually as the package is twisted. Fenty Skin recently teased its Dew N Plump Fresh-Sliced Hydrogel Eye Patches, gaining attention online for the creative design. Soon after, similar products from Glow Recipe and Huda Beauty appeared on social media, creating a playful moment between the brands. The packaging style has already been used by Korean beauty products, but its appearance across several major brands highlights the growing influence of K-beauty ideas and the beauty industry’s interest in making everyday skincare more interactive.
