The beauty industry continues to evolve as brands use new technology, business strategies, and partnerships to connect with consumers in fresh ways. From innovative skincare and oral care products to supporting emerging brands and expanding into sports, companies are finding new ways to stand out and grow.
Topicals is entering its next stage of growth after experiencing major success since launching in 2020. The skincare brand has increased its revenue twelve times, sold more than 10 million products, and remained profitable while building a strong following among Gen Z consumers. To help the company expand, Topicals has appointed Sukiana Chancy as its new CEO. Chancy previously worked at Fenty Beauty, where she led several areas including skincare, haircare, and fragrance. Founder Olamide Olowe will continue working closely with the company, focusing on marketing, creative, and product development. With Chancy’s industry experience and Topicals’ strong community, the company hopes to grow internationally while keeping the unique identity that helped make it successful. (Business of Fashion)
Dyson is taking its reputation for creative technology into a surprising new area: oral care. Its new CameraJet toothbrush combines brushing and water-flossing while using a tiny camera to identify spaces between teeth that may be missed. After years of research and testing, Dyson designed the device to make daily dental care easier and more effective. Although the $499 price is much higher than a typical toothbrush, the company believes customers will pay for its trusted engineering and premium quality. Dyson’s success comes from finding everyday problems and creating technology to solve them. With the CameraJet, the company is showing that its focus on innovation can extend far beyond vacuums and hair tools. (Beauty Matter)

Since MUSE began, Ulta has supported 32 brands and provided more than $1.5 million in funding. The program is not only about helping small businesses succeed but also helps Ulta discover brands that could eventually become part of its stores or online marketplace. Overall, MUSE gives new founders valuable money, guidance, and connections to build their businesses. (Beauty Independent)
