Product launches are fast and furious in the world of beauty, making it difficult to track trends and technological innovations that keep consumers scrolling their social media apps – and boost sales as we enter Q4. According to data from Circana, for the first nine months of the year the U.S. prestige beauty market grew by 7% to $22.8 billion, while mass market sales experienced a 2% increase in sales, versus the same period last year. Programs such as CEW’s Beauty Awards spotlight the best products in beauty voted on by those who know beauty best.

While the industry isn’t short on award events, CEW’s Beauty Awards are the only ones chosen by our membership, a global group consisting of more than 9,000 beauty industry executives. Whether you are looking to update your beauty routine or simply gain competitive research on the industry’s top products across every category, this definitive list is a resource you’ll want to bookmark — and return to again and again.

This year’s Nominating Committee helped narrow down the more than 1,100 product entries to 250-plus  finalists, which were revealed earlier this year at CEW’s Beauty Expo. From there, members voted on the 40-plus winners that were revealed at today’s winner’s luncheon from more than three dozen categories.

The luncheon attracted over 1,000 beauty industry executives — and celebrated its 30-year anniversary. For this special program, the event kicked off with a flash mob emerging from the audience to dance on the main stage setting an indisputable party vibe. Beauty industry podcast stars, Fat Mascara’s Jessica Matlin and Jennifer Sullivan, hosted the event, while special guest stars included top 10 recording artist/dancer Lil Mama, singer of Lip Gloss, to present the Lip Product category, as well as beauty industry experts and social media influencers, such as celebrity aesthetician Ian Micheal Crumm; hair expert Shab Caspara; and dermatologist Dr. B. (Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali).

The winners, as well as each category’s finalists, complete with product descriptions, images, and shoppable links, can be viewed here. See who made the cut in our newest categories, including Facial Serum; Personal Scent: Gender Neutral; and Natural/Textured Hair Product. Be sure to check out the winners of some of our most popular categories, including Sexual Wellness, Wellness Products, and Iconic.

And that’s not all. For the Indie Category, presented by Raymond James, we cast the spotlight on beauty trailblazers and disruptors, celebrating both Indie Brand, Indie Makeup, Indie Skin Care, and Indie Scent. And be sure to check out the finalists of our Sustainability Category, presented by dsm-firmenich; the finalists of the Supplier’s Award: Ingredients & Formulation, presented by NYSCC; and the Customer Obsession Award, presented by Amazon Beauty.

Consumers, of course, are paramount to voting on what’s innovative in beauty, too. Be sure to see who cast their votes for two coveted People’s Choice Awards: Launch of the Year and Micro-Influencer of the Year.

As we conclude this year’s Beauty Awards program, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to this year’s sponsors.
