Angela Zutavern is a senior executive, independent board director and AI business expert with 30 years of experience growing and transforming companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50. During her career she has held various executive roles at AlixPartners, BoozAllen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and a technology startup. She has corporate board experience as an independent director, audit committee chair, compensation committee chair and finance committee chair.

Angela has broad industry expertise through a portfolio of clients in Technology, Professional Services, Automotive, Aerospace, Retail, Consumer, Industrial, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Government and other industries. She works with various ownership models – publicly traded, privately held and private equity – and has led numerous M&A activities, carveouts and transformations. She helps companies develop innovative approaches to strategy, growth, governance, products, operations and talent. Angela has also led large teams of people, P&Ls and practice groups in Global AI, Digital Americas, Data Science and Transportation, Homeland Security & Law Enforcement.

Angela has been working in AI for many years and has led advanced AI breakthroughs in quantum machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, GIS, generative AI, agentic AI, cybersecurity and other areas. She is co-author of the bestselling book, “The Mathematical Corporation: Where Machine Intelligence + Human Ingenuity Achieve the Impossible,” a CEO Reads Best Business Book Award recommendation, Wall Street Journal Favorite Reads and Booklist Starred Review. She is also a regular contributor on AI topics for NBC News and the TODAY Show, and has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, MIT Sloan Management Review and other publications. She has authored numerous articles and co-authored the pioneering academic paper, “Building an Artificial Intelligence Explanation Capability.”

Angela is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in Technology from Consulting Magazine and a member of the MIT Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) Data Board.
