Partner TPG Growth

Heather Smith Thorne is a Partner at TPG, where she is responsible for leading the consumer investing efforts and team for TPG Growth and The Rise Fund. She is a member of the Investment Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather was a Managing Director and Partner at Swander Pace Capital. In her role at SPC, Heather sourced investments, led transaction execution and advised portfolio companies. Heather was the Chairman of J.R. Watkins, Backerhaus Veit, and Voortman Cookies, as well as a Director of Aden + Anais, GloSkinBeauty and Renew Life, among others. Prior to joining SPC, Heather was with Thoma Bravo and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.
Heather received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she was an Austin Scholar. She also received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
