Maly Bernstein is the Chief Executive Officer of Bluemercury. Since joining the retailer in 2021, Bernstein has led the company’s strategy and growth in luxury beauty, including its proprietary brands, stores, and digital platform, by leveraging the expertise of its 900+ beauty experts and spa estheticians in 180+ neighborhood locations and online. Her focus is on creating a uniquely aspirational and accessible experience for colleagues and clients.
Maly joined Bluemercury from CVS Health where she served as Vice President of E-Commerce. Prior to that role, she was Vice President of Beauty & Personal Care with a multi-billion-dollar portfolio where she led a diverse team of Category Managers, Beauty Experience & Service Program Managers, Beauty Consultants and Licensed Cosmetologists. Prior to CVS, Maly worked in the global Retail & Consumer practice at McKinsey & Co. Maly’s expertise lies in creating emotional connections with consumers through breakthrough platforms that integrate product, service, and experience into a compelling story.
Maly received her MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and her HBA degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business where she graduated with distinction. She and her husband are proud parents of two sons. Maly is a champion for purpose-led growth, diversity, people development, effective teaming, and data-based insight. She also speaks on winning with consumers in the next decade.
