Why is CEW membership important to you?

CEW has been invaluable to me as a professional, both for networking as well as for connectivity to the industry that I have been a part of for two decades. CEW has the stickiness and the connectivity for all industry professionals, because is built on a foundation of give back and vision.

Do you have any tips for getting the most out of CEW membership?

As with any organization, the best way to get the most out of the membership is to participate and to get involved. The leadership in the west coast CEW, has put on extraordinary events over the last several years which are not to be missed.

What advice do you have her any entrepreneurs, who are inspired to start their own companies during this time, or entrepreneurs who already have a small business?

2020 brought with it an unprecedented opportunity for upstart entrepreneurs, as the world turned upside down in every way that we once knew it, My advice to any entrepreneur inspired to start their own company would be to have a vision, and an exit goal, as well as a thoughtful plan for the next 6 to 12 months – connected to revenue milestones. My advice would also be to find a small group of trusted advisors, or mentors, to whom the entrepreneur could confide and lean on in the first year, which can prove to be difficult at times, and somewhat lonely.

How important his mentorship in your career journey?

Mentorship has been one of the most important elements of my success, throughout my time as an entrepreneur, and in navigating the building of multiple businesses over the last two decades. The advice and guidance of my key mentors, whom I now reference as my POD (Personal Board of Directors), is one of my greatest assets.
