It will drop, direct-to-consumer, on March 26 with five products. “It was absolutely the most terrifying decision of my life,” said Nogueira. “I don’t want [this] to be seen as the next influencer brand. I want to build a brand that leaves a legacy and can thrive.”
In response to the recent California bill which proposes banning the sale of anti-aging products to those under 18, Bliss — the spa-founded beauty brand — has created an “Elder Millennial” ad campaign. The humorous adult skin care ad features comedian Iliza Shlesinger. In other skin care updates, L’Oréal has announced a recall of its Effaclar Duo acne cream in the U.S., following a potential benzene contamination.
On the fragrance front, Francis Kurkdjian has unveiled its Kurky scent, which will debut at Bloomingdale’s on March 18. Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, The Perfume Shop in London will host a “fragrance-themed escape room” to celebrate National Fragrance Week, running from March 18 to 24. Visitors can expect a “multi-sensory journey,” with activations featuring fragrances by Gucci, Marc Jacobs and Burberry.
In sustainability news, cosmetics applicator supplier GEKA has scooped its fifth consecutive Platinum Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis. This places the company, which has pledged to send zero waste to landfill by 2025, within the top 1% of those assessed.
