At CEW today, we’re plugging into a new beauty podcast on the block, IPSY’s Hitting Pan. The first two episodes, produced by the popular subscription box brand, drop today and feature makeup-artist-turned-brand-founder Patrick Starr and content creator Stephanie Valentine, otherwise known as Glamzilla. The series, which is also filmed in a pink podcast studio at the company’s Santa Monica headquarters, is hosted by Bethany Blair, IPSY’s Senior Director of Content. According to New York-based media strategist Aggie Burnett, podcasts are “a great tool for nurturing a deeper connection with your audience. For IPSY, a podcast is an opportunity to showcase all of the amazing founders they partner with, allowing them to reach a wider audience and continue to grow brand reach in a more comprehensive way.”
