Cara Kamenev is the Vice President of Brand Engagement for L’Oreal Paris. In her role, she is responsible for publicizing, promoting and protecting the L’Oreal Paris brand in the US market, including public relations, strategic media partnerships, global platforms like Cannes and Paris Fashion Week, spokespeople, and executive and crisis communications. She also oversees Social Media, Philanthropy and Cause marketing – and is responsible for the growth and expansion of Women of Worth in the US and globally, as well as launching Stand Up in the United States market, and developing the brand’s first ever partnership with the NYC Commission on Gender Equity. Prior to this role, she oversaw brand PR, as AVP of Brand Communications on L’Oreal Paris, and led the launch and development of the emerging media of influencer marketing for the brand. She launched and developed the brand (and industry’s) first influencer ambassador program, the L’Oreal League, ultimately transforming it into a best in class brand equity and always on content program, with a competitive ROI/ROAS. She also lead the PR launches of Lash Paradise and Derm intensives, innovating the go-to-market approach for buzz-first product launches and contributing to making them top launches for the brand. Prior to joining the L’Oreal Paris brand, she served as the AVP of Internal Communications and Content on the Corporate communications team, overseeing internal channels and programs, executive communications, events, employee communications strategy, and developing the first internal/external storytelling platforms in the corp comms department. Prior to joining L’Oreal in 2012, Cara was head of Business Development and Communications at PVH Corp, overseeing investor relations, analyst communications, and executive and C-Suite communications. She was also responsible for the development and publication of corporate quarterly and annual reports, and launched PVH’s first public reports and standards for CSR. Before PVH Corp., Cara worked at Bloomberg LP for over 5 years, first in a financial sales role, overseeing the firm’s top strategic accounts including Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, and was later promoted to team leader of Bloomberg’s Fixed Income Analytics team, managing a team of 15+ analytics specialists. Cara holds a business degree from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business, with a concentration in Marketing and Management, and a minor in French.
