Lumene

Lumene is leading the way in creating truly sustainable packaging and became one of the first beauty brands to be able to sell water-based cosmetics in sustainable packaging. The primary issue in doing so was the fast evaporation of moisture-based formulations, reducing the products’ shelf-life drastically. Lumene solved the issue by packaging products in sulalpac-based jars, made of biodegradable and micro-plastic free material made entirely from renewable sources and certified wood. The inner lining of the jar consists of the world’s first barrier technology for cosmetics that protects the product and, in contact with natural microbes, eventually falls apart without leaving waste behind.
