As the new year gets underway, CEW reveals our most downloaded industry reports of 2024. “Topping the chart was CEW’s Indie 25 Report — produced in house — spotlighting brands generating sales under $10 million,” writes CEW’s Andrea Nagel. Also among those most downloaded were reports from data providers including Spate, NielsenIQ, and ViralMoment.

Additionally, CEW reviews the Top 10 most clicked articles in 2024 — covering a wide array of topics, ranging from leadership shifts to emerging wellness trends. Separately, and we spotlight Traackr’s Top 25 beauty brands in influencer marketing for the past 12 months.

Clinique has unveiled the newly reformulated Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Clearing Serum, which harnesses new technology to target spots. It launches today, exclusively at Macy’s, rolling out to existing retailers 30 days later. “We have a strong portfolio of hero products,” said Stéphane de La Faverie, Lauder’s recently appointed Chief Executive Officer. “New generations continue to discover it, and it’s important to continue building and telling the stories of those heroes.”

In other skin care news, K-beauty brand Anua has launched at Ulta Beauty’s complete store network. The trouble-shooting range was founded by global brand incubator The Founders, with co-CEOs Lee Sunhyung and Lee Changjoo at the helm. Meanwhile, The Inkey List is entering 2025 with the launch of its new, intensively hydrating Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum. 

Beauty entrepreneur Jaimee Lupton, the New Zealander behind Monday Haircare, has launched Daise — a new range of mood-matching fragrance and body care products, aimed at older Gen Alpha and younger Gen Z consumers. It is available now online at the brand’s website, and in Ulta Beauty stores across the U.S. It will enter Target February 2, with other retailers to follow.

In executive updates, Unilever has merged its sustainability and communications roles into one position with Chief Sustainability Officer Rebecca Marmot taking on additional responsibilities after the departure of Paul Matthews, Global Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs.
