Speaking of fragrance, Acqua di Parma has opened the doors to a new flagship store in Paris, reports WWD. Located on Rue Saint-Honoré, near other perfumers such as Byredo, Le Labo, Fragonard, and L’Artisan Parfumeur, the opening of the “retail-cum-gallery” space was timed to coincide with the launch of the brand’s new scent, Buongiorno. Meanwhile, Jo Malone London has teamed up with International wellness brand AIRE Ancient Baths to launch its first spa treatment. Available in cities including New York, Copenhagen, Chicago, and Barcelona, the first spa to offer the treatment is the AIRE Ancient Baths in London. 

In executive news, Vegamour has tapped Michelle Miller as its first-ever Chief Marketing Officer. Miller joins the brand from K18, and has had other leadership roles at Kosas and Too Faced. Among Macy’s newly announced leadership changes, including the appointment of Thomas J. Edwards as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Maly Bernstein, CEO of Bluemercury, will move to reporting to Olivier Bron, CEO of Bloomingdale’s, effective May 1, 2025, “to enhance collaboration between the two luxury brands,” reports Fashion United.

In Australia, ten innovative women-led startups will be given industry advice and assistance to scale up their businesses, as part of a $400,000 Advance Queensland Female Founders Investment Readiness program. “According to The State of Australian Startup Funding 2023 report, 75 per cent of women founders believe their gender has impacted their ability to raise capital compared to just 9 per cent of male founders,” The Queensland Government stated in a press release. “The program aims to increase the success of new enterprises by reducing barriers women often face when growing their businesses and seeking investment.”

In breaking news, the CEO of L’Oreal’s North Asia unit, Vincent Boinay, has predicted a positive return to growth for China’s beauty market. “The company is expecting to see growth of 5 percent yoy in China for FY2025,” said Boinay at a conference in Shanghai, according to a Reuters report. In other beauty news, Paris Hilton has unveiled a new skin care brand, Parívie. Launching on 7 May, the range is designed to celebrate ‘beauty, self-expression and confidence at every age.’
