Beauty’s fascination with Formula 1 motor racing has moved up a gear with the announcement that Elemis and the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team have inked a three-year partnership contract. The British skin care brand will be the team’s first official skin care partner, commencing with the Australian Grand Prix in March. “When it comes to engagement of sport and consumers on a global reach, F1 is the most exciting and thrilling,” said Sean Harrington, Elemis’ co-founder and CEO. “The change in F1 over the last five years has been remarkable.”

In beauty tech, Laura Mercier is launching an app for Apple Vision Pro, offering an immersive, ultra-high-definition virtual shopping experience. The app allows users to “visit” the Laura Mercier stores in New York and Paris, watch unboxings, and more. “The Laura Mercier app for Apple Vision Pro highlight’s Infinite Reality’s aim to transform flat 2D digital retail grids into immersive experiences that are engaging, dynamic and visually stunning,” said Neha Singh, founder of Obsess and Chief Innovation Officer for Infinite Reality.

Mugler Fragrances has tapped Chinese pop star Cai Xukun as its new Global Brand Ambassador, while Gucci Beauty has named Chinese actor Zhang Linghe its latest fragrance ambassador, extending Zhang’s existing fashion house partnership with Gucci. And in beauty launch news, former StriVectin VP Smitha Rao has launched a new range, Parëva Beauty.

Unilever is reported to be about to acquire British natural personal care brand Wild for $286 million at current exchange rates, according to Sky News and globalcosmeticsnews.com. Meanwhile, L’Oréal has entered a long-term beauty partnership with French fashion label Jacquemus.
