“It’s important to think about sustainability first, before you do anything,” Anna Ayers, co-founder of Rahua, told CEW today, about the pioneering, sustainable hair care range she co-founded with her husband, Fabian Lliguin. “It’s best if it’s not an afterthought.” Passionate about the conservation and protection of natural environments around the world, the couple are on a mission to help preserve 700,000 acres of Amazonian Rainforest in perpetuity. With Rahua’s latest launch, the Enchanted Island Body Glow collection, they’re helping to support wildlife preservation in Galapagos. Ten percent of the proceeds from sales will be poured into The Pink Flamingo Project, dedicated to clean-up efforts on the Islands.

Keeping the Cannes spirit going on this side of the pond, Dior’s Dioriviera pop-up boutique has returned to the Beverly Hills Hotel for summer. For the first time, guests can visit the Dior Spa Residency, located within the hotel spa, offering six signature face and body treatments, including the Californian Glow by Dior, and Kobi-Dior, inspired by Japanese facial techniques. Meanwhile, the indie French skin care brand Provence Beauty will premiere at Urban Outfitters from next month. A curated range of 20 bestselling products, also available at Ulta Beauty, will go into flagship Urban Outfitter stores and online. “A vibrant, young brand with an edge like Provence Beauty offers our dynamic customers a new and modern way to experience French beauty,” said Alexz Louras Sylvia, Merchandise Manager of Beauty, Urban Outfitters. “We know this is just what they are looking for: innovation, inclusion, and curation.”

As efforts to rescue The Body Shop continue, administrators are said to be “encouraged” by early interest from U.K. retailers M&S and Next, who are said to have both expressed an interest in acquiring the company at auction. Meanwhile, L’Oréal Paris has tapped Bridgerton star Simone Ashley its new face. The British actress will be an ambassador for the beauty brand in the U.K. and Ireland. Amelie Fortier-Cyr, GM of L’Oréal Paris UK&I, said the brand seeks to “celebrate women, talent, diversity and freedom of expression in cinema. Simone is the absolute embodiment of each of these things.”
