Amorepacific has announced it will host a “Seoul in the City” pop-up in New York on October 24 and 25, showcasing K-beauty brands Laneige, Innisfree, Aestura and Hanyul. “There is an appetite for Korean skin care around the world, and in the Western world specifically,” Julien Bouzitat, senior vice president, prestige unit at Amorepacific U.S, told WWD. “Amorepacific is uniquely positioned because we have a portfolio that showcases the diversity of Korean skin care with brands that are at different life stages and levels of awareness in the U.S.”

The U.K. beauty industry is gearing up for the sixth annual British Beauty Week, founded by the British Beauty Council. Focusing this year on the Future of Beauty, an Industry Hub, hosted by London’s Royal Society of Arts, will offer interactive sessions and workshops — from a TikTok Shop Live shopping session hosted by The Ordinary, to AI-powered gel nail treatments — and talks from industry insiders. Across the UK, brands and businesses are getting on board with masterclasses, free gifts, and more. “This year is much more interactive, and will feature some fantastic technologies of the future,” said Millie Kendall, OBE, Founder and CEO of the British Beauty Council, in an exclusive interview with CEW.

Closer to home, Ulta Beauty has debuted UB Marketplace, a new, third-party e-commerce platform, hosted on ulta.com and the Ulta Beauty app. It features over 100 new brands in the beauty, wellness, and adjacent lifestyle categories. Meanwhile, according to Happi, private label beauty product sales are booming, reaching $3.8 billion in sales in all outlets in 2024, which is a 4% rise from the previous year, according to data from PLMA’s Circana Unify+. Many private beauty brands will be on display at PLMA’s 2025 Store Brands Marketplace private label trade show, in Chicago, running from November 16-18.

In beauty ambassadorship news, Therabody has tapped Kendall Jenner as its first beauty ambassador, fronting the campaign for its new TheraFace Mask Glo, and Bobbi Brown has named actress, entrepreneur, and podcast host Sara Foster as its newest Global Ambassador.
