
Jane Hertzmark Hudis is Executive Vice President, Chief Brand Officer at The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC). A highly respected leader in the beauty industry, Jane is responsible for shaping and advancing the company’s world-class portfolio of brands across key categories, including Skin Care, Makeup, Fragrance, Hair Care and Couture. She is an Executive Officer of the company, a member of the Executive Leadership Team, and leads enterprise-wide brand strategy.
Throughout her 39-year tenure with the company, Jane has built a reputation as a visionary brand-builder, driving innovation, creativity, and exceptional global growth. She is well-regarded for her ability to hone the unique equity of each brand, ensuring they remain distinct, relevant and aspirational to consumers worldwide. Her expertise spans brand marketing, product development, digital transformation, and talent elevation. She is widely recognized for leading the turnaround and modernization of Estée Lauder, the company’s flagship brand, delivering remarkable results across geographies and generations.
Starting in 2016, Jane has been responsible for a powerful portfolio of brands, first as Group President and, later, as the first woman to be named Executive Group President at ELC in 2020. She has played a critical role in developing and scaling brands globally, fostering breakthrough innovation, and driving category leadership. A true globalist, Jane understands the nuances of local consumers, ensuring that each brand resonates authentically in diverse markets while maintaining its identity.
A passionate advocate for leadership development, inclusion, and diversity, Jane co-founded ELC’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) in 2017 to inspire and support women across the organization. WLN has since grown into ELC’s largest employee resource group, with over 2,200 members worldwide.
Jane serves on the Board of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Foundation and is an honorary member of FIT’s Executive Committee of the Cosmetics and Fragrance
Marketing and Management Graduate Program. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which in partnership with ELC, has raised over $114 million for life-saving breast cancer research.
Recognized among Fairchild Media Group’s “50 Most Powerful Women” in 2021, Jane has received numerous industry honors, including the FIT Vanguard Award, the WWD Beauty Inc. Beauty Newsmaker Award, and the CEW Achiever Award.
