Maria was born and raised in New York and is a first generation Greek American. Her career began in the Summer of 1997 at Grey Advertising in the Media Planning department as an assistant planner for brands such as The Olive Garden and Remington Shavers. She quickly rose the ranks where she was exposed to the world of beauty managing brands such as Clearasil and Helmet Lang fragrances. By 2002 she was recruited by Publicis Optimedia to run their Lancôme business. This is where her lux beauty expertise was refined and elevated. She spent 5 years at the company before making the decision to join Clarins.

This November, Maria will celebrate 19 years with the company. Her role has evolved from Media Planning & Buying to SVP Marketing and Communications. She has been instrumental in creating numerous successes for Clarins such as the launch of Double Serum, Total Eye Lift, Lip oils and Cryo Flash Mask. In line with the company’s mission to do good, in 2011, Maria and her team changed the dynamic of the GWP promotion to provide school meals to children in need with the partnership of FEED and Mary’s Meals. To date, Clarins’ Gift with Purpose promotion has provided over 48 Million meals globally to children in need.

Maria is a passionate, driven and caring individual that is respected by her peers and team.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being an active member of the Greek community and mentoring high school and college students.
