L’Oréal is making headlines this morning with the announcement of key leadership changes. David Greenberg has been appointed Chairman of L’Oréal USA, having been with the company for over 32 years. Alexis Perakis-Valat — currently President of the company’s Consumer Products Division — has been named as the new Chief Executive of L’Oréal’s American business. Meanwhile, Fabrice Megarbane has been tapped as President of the Consumer Products Division, succeeding Perakis-Valat. Vianney Derville has been named Chief Growth Officer, taking over at the helm from Fabrice Megarbane. Emmanuel Goulin will be appointed President of Europe, and Eva Yu will take on the role of President Travel Retail, succeeding Goulin, and is to become part of the Group’s Extended Executive Committee.
In other executive news, Brook Harvey-Taylor is stepping down from her position as CEO of Pacifica Beauty. Eric Reiter, partner at private equity firm Brentwood Associates, will take on the role on an interim basis. And in other breaking business news, Intercos SpA, supplier to Estée Lauder and Dolce & Gabbana, is seeking a U.S. acquisition in the skin and hair care sector, with targets estimated at $100 million to $200 million.
Fashion brand Vaquera’s designers Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee have unveiled their debut fragrance, Classique Perdu, in partnership with Comme des Garçons Parfums. “We’ve been talking about wanting to do a perfume for almost as long as we’ve been around,” said Taubensee. “Perfume is perfect for the customer who wants to buy into the brand but can’t get the more statement pieces.” Meanwhile, Merit, the minimalist make up brand, has teamed up with U.S. luxury fashion brand Brandon Maxwell to create a limited-edition collection. Launching on October 2, Merit’s Signature Bag has been reimagined by Brandon Maxwell for Fall/Winter 2025, and a new, limited-edition shade of Merit’s Lip Blush will drop.
Charlotte Tilbury is the latest brand to enter the U.S. Amazon Premium Beauty store. An American milestone for the brand, the immersive brand store is designed to offer a personalized shopping experience and easy, speedy delivery.
