In breaking news, The Body Shop has confirmed that its UK business has gone into administration. Up to 2,000 jobs are reported to be at risk within the company, founded by the late Dame Anita Roddick in Brighton, England, in 1976. It is believed that the 200 shops throughout the UK will stay open while FRP, the restructuring firm appointed as the administrator, considers all the possible options for the business’ future.

In clean beauty, meanwhile, Italian brand Wa:it — founded by Raffaella Grisa — is making its U.S. debut. With products ranging from skin care to fragrance, the range was inspired by Italian and Japanese beauty rituals.
Bespoke beauty service provider and retailer Knockout Beauty reveals its best-selling products to reporter Victoria Kirby. A fifth location recently opened in Aspen, and a Dallas unit is to follow this spring. “Knockout Beauty advisors are the skin coaches, and our aestheticians are the skin trainers,” founder Cayli Cavaco Reck tells Kirby. “Much like how a personal trainer or nutritionist would customize a program for you, we create a personalized routine for every client that supports their skin’s health with the most efficacious products and treatments.”
In fashion and beauty news, L’Oréal and Prada S.p.A have inked a worldwide long-term license agreement for the creation, development, and distribution of the luxury beauty products for Miu Miu. “Over the past years, we have successfully established a very strong partnership with Prada,” said Cyril Chapuy, President of L’Oréal Luxe. “We are now thrilled to welcome Miu Miu and unleash together its outstanding potential in beauty.” Meanwhile, Richard Pinabel takes over the helm as President of Armani Beauty, after the departure of Véronique Gautier.
