Spotlight: Kylie Skin Vaults Into Top 10 With Pink-Themed Launch Party

Kylie Skin, the new brand headed by social media superstar and Kylie Cosmetics founder Kylie Jenner, broke into May’s Top 10 skincare brands at No. 5, netting $6.2M EMV. To celebrate the #KylieSkin ($2.1M EMV) launch, Jenner invited several influencer friends to a millennial pink-themed party in LA, complete with a roller skating rink and Insta-worthy photo-ops. Jenner’s family members heavily promoted the launch, with mother Kris Jenner (@krisjenner on Instagram) ranking as Kylie Skin’s top May ambassador, driving $846.8k EMV across 13 posts. Many content creators raced to film “first impressions” videos testing out the brand’s much-hyped products: after trying the entire line, Patrick Simondac (PatrickStarrr on YouTube) recommended the Walnut Face Scrub, Eye Cream, and Vitamin C Serum. Patrick emerged as Kylie Skin’s No. 2 May content creator, generating $339.3k EMV via four posts. In all, 436 influencers mentioned the brand across 953 posts this month, compared to the Top 10’s averages of 513 ambassadors and 1.2k posts. Powerhouse influencers drove 69% of Kylie Skin’s EMV, nearly double the Top 10’s average 37 percent proportion.
