Talk about lip service.
Sephora announced today it is launching same-day delivery for purchases of prestige beauty products to customers nationwide. Now the lipstick that minutes ago was coveted on social media can be at the door—and on lips—in just hours.
The customer journey begins on Sephora.com or the Sephora mobile app. Upon landing on the product detail page, a shopper may select “same-day delivery” as the preferred delivery method and input their zip code, then add the desired product to the cart. For a flat fee of $6.95, a courier will retrieve the order from a nearby Sephora store and deliver it directly. Same-day delivery is available seven days a week in most major cities and suburbs for all orders placed before 4 p.m. local time. Orders placed after 4 p.m. will be delivered the next day. The new service supplements alternative purchase methods to in-store buying, including buying online/picking up in-store, as well as curbside pickup.
According to Sephora, nearly half of Sephora shoppers place same-day delivery in their top delivery methods.
Timed to this launch, Sephora is also reintroducing its shopping advisory tool, Live Beauty Help (formerly known as Home Chat). Live Beauty Help looks to elevate the traditional chat experience by connecting clients directly with a live Beauty Advisor, who is an expert in Sephora’s categories, product assortment, and application.
