Last night at the Louvre, Isabella Rossellini was a surprise guest at a dinner hosted by Lancome in Paris for beauty advisors from around the world – much to the delight of many who will have remembered her as a “face” the first time around, three decades ago. Before leaving for the event, the icon made time to share this reel on Instagram of her stunning red dress, – and lip, of course – and cape festooned with, mai oui, roses (the symbol of the brand).

In independent beauty news, Líha Beauty — the organic skincare company founded by British-Nigerian dynamic duo Líha Okunniwa and Abi Oyepitan — has raised £1 million in funding from an investor with private equity. Combining West African plant-based wisdom with English aromatherapy, the range also includes sustainably-produced scented candles and other multipurpose, unisex, vegan self care products. The UK brand, whose mission is to encourage consumers to “buy less buy well” is reportedly the Duchess of Cambridge’s favorite brand. Okunniwa tells WWD that the investment will be channeled into team building and “being a lot more forward-facing and getting the brand out there.”

Taking beauty “to go” to a new level: TEARandGO lipstick lets you tuck your colour into the tiniest space, ready for touch-ups on the move. Founder Deborah Golden explains that she came up with the idea after hiking with her daughter (a clue to the innovation’s prime audience), who wanted something more lightweight than a lipstick tube for their trip. Think flat, perfectly portable beauty. (Cosmetics Design)
